Manetti Gold Leaf

Manetti Gold Leaf is available either as classic loose gold leaf or transfer gold leaf. It is sold in booklets of 25 sheets measuring 80 x 80mm.

The classic Manetti Gold Leaf is suitable for both water-based gilding techniques and also oil-based techniques. It is particularly suitable for restoration and use on machined surfaces e.g. carvings, and can be used on smooth surfaces using oil-based techniques.

The transfer Manetti Gold Leaf, on the other hand, is only suitable for oil-based gilding and is recommended for outdoor gilding. It is supplied ready-to-use on tissue paper, which makes handling easier and speeds up the process of gilding flat surfaces.
